For personal dps Arcane trumps all mage specs but if theres only one mage and its a caster heavy raid then you definitely need imp scorch. Thank god locks are supposed to get it in 3.1.

I think 18/53/0 fireball is suppose to be superior to arcane since the arcane nerfs but you need alot more gear with fireball since you need more hit rating and its suppose to eat through your mana pool pretty fast.

I personally raid as Arcane on my mage, but I can see where the other two specs are viable. Really, they all seem to do relatively the same dps. Or so it appears to me.
There's a fine line between GENIUS and INSANITY and I think you just snorted it...
